Michael Hofer (CTO Adfinis)

As of October 01, 2022, Michael Hofer moves into his new position as CTO at Adfinis to strengthen the leadership team with his many years of technical experience and Open Source expertise.

Adfinis, a leading Swiss IT company for Open Source solutions, has appointed Michael Hofer as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with effect from October 1st, 2022. With this change, Adfinis further grows the leadership team and allows CEO and former CTO Nicolas Christener to focus on other strategic areas and tackle international growth topics with the newly appointed CGO, Michael Moser. As a company, Adfinis is firmly committed to sustainable solutions without vendor lock-in to foster digital sovereignty.

Michael Hofer, former Head of Engineering, will focus on extending and improving the Adfinis Open Source portfolio on an executive and international level. This also includes supporting organizations around the globe to build bridges between partners,  technical teams and the Open Source community with the goal to foster the Open and Inner Source mindset.

In August 2014, Michael Hofer started at Adfinis as a Linux System Engineer and became a key person in many projects for our global customers and partners. Lately, as Head of Engineering he focused on enabling Open Source technologies for strategic customers while ensuring the internal technical growth and standardization. Michael Hofer drove many successful initiatives that led to new product and service offerings. As a public face Michael Hofer also represented Adfinis at conferences and roundtables, and built a large network in the Open Source ecosystem.
